Brett received his first training in drama from a special woman named Mrs. Bowes at his high school in Indiana, PA. She urged him to continue to follow his dream of acting, and so he did while studying theatre at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2005 Brett graduated summa cum laude, but not before he was a National Finalist in the Irene Ryan acting competition, hosted at the Kennedy Center in D.C. This would be the last time his stepfather and friend, Richard Alsippi, would see him perform before succumbing to cancer.
The following year was spent at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival where Brett took on roles in the plays: 12TH NIGHT, JULIUS CAESAR, and ROBINSON CRUSOE. While in Orlando, he also continued his classical training, and began teaching Shakespeare and Stage Combat to young actors. In 2007, he moved back to the Pittsburgh area to perform in two World Premier plays: MEZZULAH, and THE MUCKLE MAN at the City Theatre. After much encouragement from friends, family and colleagues Brett packed his bags for L.A. It wasn’t long before he was back on the stage, performing in SHAKESPEARE'S R&J at the Chance Theatre. Brett would like to thank his family for all of their continued love and support.
